At the age of 18 he decided to go and see what the world had to offer. Following spells living in England, Australia and Sweden Mingus settled in Rome, Italy, where he got his first real taste for acting in an amateur acting society to help Italians learn English through acting.
Having performed in a rendition of West Side Story as one of the Jets, run the Rome marathon in his kilt and speaking fluent Italian, Mingus returned to the UK to study drama.
His first break was Jack The Giant Slayer (2013) which quickly lead to another Singer production, Uwantme2killhim?(2013) followed by, The List (2013), Mission Impossible 5 (2015) and many more.
